In the academic year 2015- 16, to scale another milestone in the academic domain of the college,
KG College was sanctioned BA English – Language and Literature (Model I) Programme in the self-
financing sector with the university prescribed intake of 24 students. By enhancing the UG sector with
BA (English) as college’s seventh UG Programme, the College has grown into the level of having all
disciplines viz. Humanities, Arts, Sciences and Management Science. The department has an association
‘SYNERGIA’ for the upliftment of the creative and literary abilities of the students. BA English
Programme utilizes all relevant strategies and methods at par with the professional requirements of global
standards. It adopts an inclusive approach incorporating the trendy inputs from TOEFL and TESOL, and
works in union with the existing language departments of Malayalam and Hindi. A Certificate course on
‘English for Career Development’ is an added academic excellency of the department. All suggested
reach-out/ live-in assignments complement the curriculum streamlined by the University.
